Metal Buildings

Turn-key shells erected start to finish, or fully custom fabrication built around what has to fit inside. Commercial work at scale across Decatur and the surrounding counties, backed by a warranty that is two separate pieces of paper.

Chapter 01

Turn-key, or fully custom, and the bay gets sized to what is going inside it

Some jobs are a finished metal building erected start to finish, handed over ready to use. Others are fully customised, fabricated to a set of dimensions that answer one question first: what has to fit inside once the doors are hung. A bay built around a piece of equipment, a fleet of trailers, or a specific storage need is measured against that equipment, not pulled off a standard size sheet.

That approach holds whether the job is out past the Decatur city line or over in Athens, Madison or Huntsville. The building gets planned around the use it is going to get, and Hall Construction works closely with local vendors on the supply side so the job is not held up waiting on a single source, whatever the size of the job turns out to be.

Commercial work at scale, without shutting a business down to build it

Shopping centres, churches, gyms, schools and warehouses across Morgan, Limestone, Madison and Lauderdale counties are ordinary jobs here, not a specialty call-out reserved for a bigger contractor. The scale of a commercial building brings its own scheduling problem though: most of these sites are already operating, with customers, congregants, students or tenants coming and going while the steel goes up around them.

Hall Construction runs after-hours construction specifically to answer that problem, erecting and finishing work outside a business's own operating hours so a trading business is not shut down while its building goes up or gets repaired. It is a scheduling decision made on the job, not a premium add-on, and it is why the crew ends up back at the same commercial addresses across Decatur and the counties around it more than once.

Chapter 03

American-made materials, and a warranty that is two separate pieces of paper

Every metal building job uses American-made supplies and materials, sourced through the same local vendors on every job regardless of size. Mike Hall has been doing this around Decatur for over forty two years, and the estimate and consultation to start a job are free and carry no obligation, whether what is being weighed up is a shopping centre roof span or a single equipment bay.

The building itself carries a one year warranty on the work as installed, sitting on top of a thirty year manufacturer warranty on the building system. That is two separate warranties, not one stretched to sound like two, and anything covered under either one gets reassessed for free rather than requoted from scratch.

Hall Construction - licensed and insured, and bonded on jobs where a special bond is required. A one year warranty on the installed building sits on top of a thirty year manufacturer warranty, and the estimate to start is free with no obligation. Call (256) 566-6716.

Once the building is up

A building still needs a roof over it, and upkeep after that.

A metal building and its roof are usually the same conversation, and Hall Construction handles metal roofing on the same crew, including a free on-site leak assessment if a shell that has already gone up starts giving trouble. After that, building maintenance covers the year-round programme and the full repairs, on any building of any size, plumbing and electrical excepted.
